Candle Live 2015 - Saturday January 17th
The crazy busy period of Christmas/New Year has passed, so we can all kick back and take a bit of a breather. Time to enjoy the snow (locals are saying that the snow levels are more like February than January!) and also some of the upcoming events.
Saturday January 17th sees the return of the ever-popular Candle Live event in Yuzawa. Thousands of candles light up a ski slope and there are a whole host of events going on around town.
Candle Live has been moving around in recent years, but this year it is going to be centered along the main Onsen Street on the West Side of Echigo-Yuzawa Station. Things are due to kick off around 6.30pm and there should be plenty to see and do for a couple of hours after that.

Candle Live 13 - January 19th
One of Yuzawa's best loved winter events is just around the corner.
A festival of light and sound, the center of Yuzawa is lit up by over 10,000 candles. It is an amazing sight with points of light shining in the snow. It kicks off around 1800 on Saturday January 19th and will be in the Chuo Park again this year just by the Culture Center.
There will be food, live music and it always draws plenty of visitors. Wrap up warm and enjoy the show.

Candle Live, Yuzawa - 21 Jan
Candle Live is back for 2012 on 21st January. It is one of the highlights of the winter in Yuzawa and well worth checking out.
Rocking the theme of White Circus this year it kicks off at 1830 in the Chuo Park next to the Culture Center. This is a new venue for the event, moving from its past home on the ski slopes in the town itself.
You can expect a candle lit winter wonderland, live music, drinks and delicious snacks. It's always a great night and the view of thousands of candles flickering in the snow is breathtaking.
